Twilight Alchemy Lab Limited Edition Incense (Limited)

This is an adaptation of traditional kyphi that possesses both Egyptian and Hellenic influences. Modifications have been made to the recipe and the process of preparation in order to subtly change the incense’s influence. The method I used to make this kyphi is a hybrid of the Harris papyri method and the Temple of Philae method with some significant twists.

Pine resin, cinnamon, mint, sweet flag, gum mastic, myrrh, cypress, juniper berries, cassia, acacia, violet petals, and asphaltum were ground together slowly over three days (Saturn’s Qabalistic number is three) and the organically-grown raisins were soaked in pomegranate wine for nine days (an interpretation of the numerical value of both Pluto and Apophis). The raisins were crushed, dried, and rolled, then steeped in a mixture of pomegranate wine, local white sage honey, and frankincense for three additional days.

Pomegranate wine was added to the herb and resin mixture, and all of the components were boiled with pomegranate wine until the mix was reduced by approximately 1/5th. The mix was formed into lumps, additional mastic and myrrh was added, and then the lumps were left to dry. The lumps were placed in a container with philosophic sulphur, representing blood, and soil to further enhance the Cthonic attributes
